DAYTIME WANDERER

I thought I saw you in the horizon,
Or perhaps my faraway eyes saw
Whom in my mind i thought I saw,
Standing and waving in the setting sun.

As the sun being engulfed by the earth,
You vanished like cremating smoke,
Transpired in midair whilst the wind choked
And expectorated the breaths of dirge.

Constant-flowing river became treacherous
On this cool-breeze and hypnotic night,
As you refused to converse in day or night;
Longing for angelic face too hideous.

Under the anemic moon of solitude,
Leaves danced to the wind that orchestrated---
Was it for me that they serenated
Into this young night of interlude?

Night swallows light like a sirocco.
Did you ever make it to heaven?
Was the door locked or opened?
Am I still chasing or being chased by a shadow?

IMMINENT RAIN

Take me to where the sun shines not,
Where my hydrated thoughts will rot.
I feel the arduous breaths swaying
To the symphonic mind playing.

Darkness in daylight, darker in the night__
Your soulful eyes give off hypnotic moonlight,
And the leaves provide me a cozy shelter
From the treacherous rain and thunder.

Silence penetrates me to a trance
Until I fall into an unconscious dance.
Children laughing, adults crying, elders dying;
Death is living, while life, dying.

Leaves sing to the dancing raindrops,
As I embrace the olden days with teardrops.
Rainmaker, peacemaker, war-maker, love-maker,
One cannot possess anything or anyone forever.

However much is my love for nature,
There will come a time for our departure.
Upon death, I cannot take nature with me,
But only to know that nature can take me!

EVERYONE CRIES

A newborn cries to tell me that life is suffering
An infant cries to make his mother lactate

A young girl cries because she is being scolded

A teenage boy cries due to guilt and failure
A teenage girl cries because she is hurt from love

A young man cries for he wants to break free
A young woman cries for discontent love

A middle-aged man cries in his mid-life crisis
A middle-aged woman cries in her postmenopause

An elderly man cries for leaving his wife behind to carry on
An elderly woman cries for being left alone to pine

A healthy person cries to douche the soul
A sick person cries in the light of depression

A young animal cries because its parents are being preyed
A grown animal cries mercilessly in the house of butchers

A restful soul cries for departing the earth of loved ones
A restless soul cries for wanting to be restful and free

Life cries for peace from crimes against humanity
Death cries because of Cheyne-stokes and fear of unknown

Everyone cries and everyone dies,
How much longer can we go on asking, " Why ?"

UNNAMED AND UNASHAMED

Lines on your ashen face depict life's sorrow
Throughout many weathered years, full of empty hands.
Everyday you hopelessly, wishing not to see tomorrow,
As you wander here and there with no dwelling, no family, no friends.

Tatted are your clothes and dirty is your hair,
But your mind is clean of deceptive and evil thoughts.
Hungry and thirsty you are and no one seems to care,
Still you stand with your outstretched hands in distraught.

In people's eyes, they see you a lose and non- existed.
In eyes of mine, you are helpless and still a living soul.
For peace and empathy you have strongly insisted,
Although they all have given you their looks of foes.

You take whatever you receive without complaints
And are thankful for the good that some people do.
Some people are Santans and some are Saints,
But the visionless are ones who can really see you.

You once learned to talk and to walk and were pampered,
And ran to your mother whenever you have nightmares,
And found solace in the sheltered arms of your lover.
In the distant past, you were well-fed, well-clothed, and well-cared.

Now you self-talk with your blistered soles painful to walk.
With your delusional mind, you alone embrace death.
In your circle of strangers, terror and hate stalk.
Moreover, ill-fated you are, cold, and short of breath.

Once you followed the footeps of those you idolized,
And you lived your life comfortably beyond necessity.
Now you are the footsteps followed by those who criticize,
And you yearn just only for a basic life's mundanity.

Soon, you shall depart this world with no dignity and no fame,
And be touched by the wind and heard by the neglected souls,
And be known by no one as you die with no name.
Forgive those whose eyes gone blind and hearts gone cold.

ON ONE INCLEMENT DAY

The icy wind cuts my face like a chisel,
And numbs my brain yearning for warm thoughts,
As my breath of smoke fogs my vision.
With hands in pockets and chin to chest,
My bone-cold feet maintain an even stride.

I need your warm body to warm up mine,
For my circulating blood is not enough to give me warmth.
Whiskey will burn my liver and fire will burn my soul;
Only your true love can burn me with desire.
Flesh to flesh, blood to blood, we ignite our inner passion.

Restless leaves rustle to the eerie wind that howls,
That brings them together and then separate them---
Hellos and farewells inevitably are not a far cry.
My body shivers, my teeth chatter, and my mouth stutters;
Against the wind, I tread without looking back.

Light of day fades, and I am left with no one
To feel and face the treacherous wind of time,
Under the creeping black nebulous sky above.
I am cold for your embraceable body heat
And hungry for your unselfishly gratifying love.
